True Blood: Violet's Fitted Lace Dress

One particularly stunning dress is worn by Jason Stackhouse's gal Violet in S06E10 & S07E01. The beautiful navy lace dress is a Nicole Miller Eva Lace Dress.

The Nicole Miller dress is made from strips of scalloped lace draped to create a flattering silhouette that is quite flattering. The dress is still available at Nordstrom & Nicole Miller.

Sarah Michelle Gellar & Marc by Marc Jacobs Crinkle top

Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted in LA wearing a Marc by Marc Jacobs Mini Diamond Crinkle Silk top on April 6.

Special thanks to Cindy for this SMG submission!

True Blood: Jason Stackhouse's Dry Spell is Over

I think I must have been the only one paying attention to Violet's mini skirt while Jason Stackhouse was plowing away? The bodycon mini skirt has what looks to be cheetah print with roses mixed in. I tried looking around online for the skirt, but couldn't pinpoint the brand. My guess is it isn't designer and is most likely from Forever 21 or Urban Outfitters, but I'm not certain.

I'm pretty sure Violet knew she was going to boink Jason, that night. No gal goes without panties, while wearing a mini skirt, unless they know to expect some hardcore action. Let's just hope it isn't a drafty day in Bon Temps.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Tweets the Middle Finger While Wearing an Awesome Studded Jacket

On June 22, Sarah Michelle Gellar tweeted photos from the Hollywood Bowl. The blonde bombshell wore skinny jeans with a Rebecca Taylor Studded Tweed Jacket and a pair of black pumps.

All of her twitter pictures are adorable, but my favorite would have to be the one she jokingly sent to Adam Shankman. This gal does not hold back. You keep on being your awesome self, Sarah Michelle Gellar!

Never Kill A Boy on the First Date: Buffy's Sparkly Gold Dress

One of Buffy's most iconic outfits, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is her sparkly gold dress she wore to the Bronze. The dress was worn in several season 1 promotional images as well as the episode "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date".

"If the apocalypse comes, beep me."

In the season 1 episode, the dress is matched with brown, knee-high boots, and a pink, button-down coat. And who can forget the much needed accessory of a 90's beeper.

The boots have the ever so popular 90's chunky heel. The look became a an ongoing statement, in Buffy's season 1 wardrobe. In high school, I liked the look so much, I went out and bought my own pair.

I'm not sure who made this dress. I'm not exactly sure it was store bought. I believe there is a good chance the dress was custom made by the costume department. One thing is certain though. Buffy sure does look fabulous in it.

Buffy Summers: "Okay, guy's opinion. Which one do you think Owen will like better: The red or the peach?"

Xander Harris: "Oh, you mean for kissing you and then telling all his friends how easy you are so everyone loses respect for you and talks behind your back? The red's fine."

Buffy Summers: "Thanks. I'll go with the peach."

Question of the day:
If you could own one outfit, from Btvs, what would you choose?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Friends had More in Common than You Think

Buffy does not appear pleased

Who would have thought Rachel Green & Buffy Summers had similar taste in fashion. Well, at least in one episode. While getting the stink eye from Brad Pitt in the Friends episode "The One with the Rumor", Rachel Green wears a Laundry by Shelli Segal lace bell sleeve top. That same year, Buffy Summers wore the same top in the Btvs episode "Smashed". Both aired in November of 2001.

In a BBC interview with Cynthia Bergstrom, head wardrobe stylist for Buffy, she mentions that the Laundry Lace top was borrowed from the Friends wardrobe team. So in fact, Buffy and Rachel are not only wearing the same designer and style, they are actually wearing the exact same top. Special thanks to Obscurebookwyrm who reminded me of this fact.

Willow: "How come you didn't tell me I look like a crazy birthday cake in this shirt?"

In a different Friends episode, Phoebe can be seen wearing Willow's "birthday cake" shirt (Photo Credit). With the numerous costume changes that occur, cast members are bound to wear the same designer tops. But it is still fun to spot.

True Blood: Sookie's S07E01 Outfit

Sookie Stackhouse is at it again with getting into trouble with vampires. In last night's episode, Sookie wore a cute sundress with a white cardigan. The white sweater is a J. Crew Jackie cardigan and is currently on sale with the code "HISUMMER".

The sundress is an Abercrombie Kenzie Dress which is now sold out. If you decide to seek this dress out on Ebay, be sure to look at the detailing around the belt line. Abercrombie made similar dresses with slightly different detailing around the waistline.

The boots are Frye Taylor Short Boots. Sookie wears it in the color Cognac. There are a few listed, but most of the ones in Cognac are sold out.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Daughter, the Future Stylist

Sarah Michelle Gellar at the June 12, 2014 launch of Rebecca Taylor's Little White Dress Collection.

While in Los Angeles for the launch of Rebecca Taylor's Little White Dress Collection, benefiting Baby Buggy, Sarah Michelle Gellar told People Magazine, "My daughter [Charlotte] says to me all the time, ‘Mom, why do you look so understated?’”

Sarah said she believes Charlotte may have learned some of her fashion terms from the children's book series Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor. The books revolve around a little girl who enjoys dressing up and partaking in different adventures.

“That would have to be my guess. Is there a four-and-a-half-year-old street lingo for fashion?” she told People Magazine, “[Charlotte’s fashion sense is] apparently way better than mine, and way fancier!”

Sarah has two children, with her husband of 12 years, Freddie Prince jr. Her daughter Charlotte, four, and her son Rocky, 20 months old.

Sarah admits she is not one to simply browse while shopping at department stores.

“I do this thing called a ‘speed shop,’ which is I have 10 minutes and I will come in and I’ll see how much [I can buy],” she told People magazine. “If that was a television show I would win it!”

The 37-year-old actress is no stranger to fashion. In 2008 Sarah was in attendance to see the latest spring collections at New York Fashion Week. Through the years, the actress has been seen on several occasions, wearing designers that include: Rebecca Taylor, BCBG Maxazria, Rag & Bone, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Chanel, to name a few.

It appears little Charlotte has quite the fashionable mother to guide her through the top designers in the industry.

True Blood: How to Accessorize like Sookie Stackhouse

One of the aspects of Sookie Stackhouse, that often goes unnoticed, is her adorable accessories. Now seemed like a good time to take a look at some of the pieces Sookie has worn through the years.

While dining with Bill, In S03E012 "Beyond Here Lies Nothin", Sookie can be seen wearing a JCPenney Heart & Bar 10K Tri-color gold bracelet.

This adorable linked bracelet was sold exclusively at JCPenney and is adorned with 10K yellow, white and rose gold. This piece isn't easy to find, but it does pop up, now and again, on Ebay.

Time for necklaces. Upon first meeting Alcide, in S03E03 "It Hurts Me Too", Sookie wears an adorable Butterfly necklace with a blue (possibly green) center and gold chain.

I'm unaware of who made this particular neck, but fortunately, there are a lot of similar alternative options available, online.

Throughout MANY episodes, Sookie can be wearing her favorite pair of earrings. One such episode is S01E02 "The First Taste". It's hard to see from the photo, but the earrings are miniature dangling hearts. Many of Sookie's ensembles wouldn't quite be complete without these delicate earrings.

Who can forget Sookie's memorable sunglasses from S01E01 "Strange Love". Similar sunglasses are fairly easy to find. All it takes is a pair of white frames with dark lenses and presto! You are ready to sunbathe in style, like Sookie. Some really cute, affortable alt. options include this pair by Esprit and this pair by Urban Outfitters.

There you have it. Some of Sookie's most adorable accessories to compliment any outfit. Now you can be just as stylish as the blonde Merlotte's waitress. Which piece of jewelry is your favorite?

Just Because She's the Slayer Doesn't Mean She Can't Also Be Fashionable

It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between colors, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is mostly due to the lighting. In season 7 episodes "Never Leave Me" and "Bring on the Night", Sarah Michelle Gellar can be seen wearing a Nanette Lepore crochet top. Because the color is somewhat indistinguishable, there has been some debate on whether the blouse is brown or black.

When sold in stores, the blouse came in both black and brown. From the screencaps it can be a bit difficult to precisely identify the color, she is wearing, but I believe the top is brown and here is why. The color of the blouse is more apparent when Sarah Michelle Gellar is in the well lit bedroom. And there you have it. Mystery solved. Case Closed.

Now, that isn't to say that SMG has never worn this top in black, because she has, just not on screen. As you can see, Sarah Michelle Gellar wore the top in black at the UPN Upfront party in May of 2002.

Whether it's a brown or a black top, I think we can all agree that both look beautiful on Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Sookie Stackhouse Goes Designer with a Madewell Leather Jacket

A truly great piece, from Sookie Stackhouse's closet, can be seen in season 4 and 6 of True Blood. It is the Madewell Double Breasted Leather Moto Jacket. This gal has style!

It seems as though Sookie has stepped away from Forever 21 and progressed to grown up designer clothing. Ya can't stay 21 forever, especially when you're approaching 30. All you have to do is look at the jacket, and you can tell it is quality leather.

The Madewell Double Breasted Leather Moto Jacket is unfortunately no longer sold in stores. But it wouldn't be too difficult to find a similar looking moto jacket. Just search for Brown Leather Moto Jacket and a bunch of similar options will appear. A better selection is bound to come up, during the fall.

Hopefully, Anna Paquin's character will continue this trend of awesome designer clothing. We've seen her wear Diane Von Furstenberg, Rag & Bone, J Brand, French Connection and now Madewell. Only time will tell as we wait for the season 7 premiere of True Blood on June 22, 2014.

Buffy's Glittery Devil Horned Tee

An interesting piece of Buffy fashion is the infamous Demon looking top Sarah Michelle Gellar wears in S05E05 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The top is by Chloé so that most likely took up a very nice chunk of the wardrobe department's budget. The photo on the right is the actual top SMG wore on the show.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah Michelle Gellar picked this top out herself. SMG is known for loving the designer Chloé and has been spotted wearing pieces by her on numerous occasions. It has been mentioned in past interviews the actors a lot of times picked out their own clothing, during the later seasons.

The top definitely made the rounds. The same style top was even worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in S03E12 of Sex and the City. Outfits appearing on multiple shows is not unheard of and happens more than you think. Still, it's good to see Buffy's style rub off on others. ;)
