The Evolution of Sarah Michelle Gellar's On-Screen Style in the 90's

Hellen Shivers
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997)

Sarah showed off her small town pageant persona, in the 1997 film I Know What You Did Last Summer. The cutout dress is very 90's club girl. I personally like the look she had going during the haircut scene. Although, it's hard to compete with the white tied blouse and the silver armband accessory.

A perfect unity of 90's trends wrapped up in one scene.

Cici Cooper
Scream 2 (1997)

The knotted top trend re-emerges in Scream 2. Spoiler alert! The scene doesn't end well for Cici as she meets the sharp end of the knife and is thrown off her sorority house balcony.

Ghost face is quite the critic. I didn't think the pink number was that bad.

Amanda Shelton
Simply Irresistible (1999)

To be honest, I'm still not completely sure what the hell this movie is about. I know there is a magic crab that allows Amanda Shelton's food to give customers more mood swings than a pregnant woman. But I do know that Sarah Michelle Gellar had some fabulous hairstyles and outfits.

For a gal who got her start in a small restaurant, she sure can afford some expensive designer threads. Just look! That dress does not scream Walmart or Target. More like Saks or Bloomingdales! Amanda Shelton, we're on to you and your five finger discounts.

Kathryn Merteuil
Cruel Intentions (1999)

Ah, a personal favorite of mine! Sarah Michelle Gellar's on-screen style is top notch in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions. The film had a hell of a wardrobe stylist!

When Kathryn wasn't snorting coke, she was sporting top designer ensembles. Annette was such a stick in the mud. Kathryn's devilish persona and fabulous style leaves you wanting her to come out on top. Or was that just me?

Question Time:
Which movie do you think Sarah Michelle Gellar's character has the best style?
